Privacy Policy for Peniang

Peniang ("Peniang", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by AITECAF, provides a mobile application (the "App") that connects users with waste collection and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Information you provide: name, phone number, email address, password, and (optionally) a profile photo; your neighborhood, country, and collection point addresses; collection points, trash bins, waste reports (including photos), scheduled pickups, orders, subscriptions, and proof-of-payment images; messages and support requests.

Collected automatically: with your permission, precise or approximate device location (to show nearby collection points, place them on a map, and support pickups); device model, operating system, app version, language, and a push notification token; usage, crash, and performance information.

Camera and photos: with your permission, the App accesses your camera and photo library so you can take or select images for your profile, waste reports, and proof of payment.

3. How we use your information

To provide and operate the App and its services (accounts, collection points, reports, scheduling and pickups, subscriptions, orders); show maps and find nearby collection points (Google Maps); send notifications; record and manage subscriptions, invoices, and payments; provide support; keep the App secure and prevent fraud; and comply with legal obligations. We do not currently collect or store card or bank details in the App; payments are recorded through proof of payment.

  • Location — nearby collection points and pickups.
  • Camera — profile photos and photos for reports / proof of payment.
  • Photos and storage — to select images from your device.
  • Notifications — pickup, report, and account updates.

You can change or revoke these in your device settings; some features may not work without them.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: collectors and partners to fulfil the services you request (name, contact, collection point, location); service providers that help us run the App — Expo / EAS (push notifications, over-the-air updates, builds), Google (Maps Platform and Play services), hosting/cloud infrastructure, and email/SMS providers for verification codes; legal and safety recipients when required by law or to protect rights and safety; and in a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets), subject to this Policy.

We keep your information while your account is active or as needed to provide the services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements; then we delete or anonymize it.

We use technical and organizational measures, including encryption of data in transit and secure on-device storage of authentication tokens. No method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. Update most profile information in the App, or contact contact@aitecaf.com.

10. Account and data deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by deleting your account in the App or emailing contact@aitecaf.com. We will delete or anonymize your data except where we must retain it for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

11. Children's privacy

The App is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International data transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, where our service providers operate. We take steps to keep it protected consistent with this Policy.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy and will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date, notifying you in the App where appropriate.
