Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Peniang website, mobile application, and related services (the "Service"), operated by AITECAF ("Peniang", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, making a donation, listing a service, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms and have the legal capacity to enter into them. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.
2. Who we are
The Service is operated by AITECAF, Yaoundé, Cameroon. You can reach us at contact@aitecaf.com.
3. The Service
Peniang connects residents, waste-collection companies, institutions, and donors to report pollution, book waste-collection services, and fund community cleanup projects. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
4. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by submitting false reports, infringing others' rights, uploading unlawful or harmful content, attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
6. Donations and payments
Donations to cleanup projects and payments for services are processed by third-party payment providers (including Stripe for card payments and mobile-money providers). By paying, you authorize the applicable charge. How donations are collected and disbursed is described in our Funding Policy.
7. Refunds
Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy. Please review it before donating.
8. Partner listings and user content
If you list a service or submit content (including reports, photos, and project information), you are responsible for it and grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display it as part of operating the Service. You must hold the rights to any content you submit.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by AITECAF and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or content except as needed to use the Service.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties such as payment providers and mapping services. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any report will result in a cleanup or collection.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AITECAF will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service, its users, or third parties.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
